Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will escort you to a waiting vehicle and transfer you to Mount Meru Game Lodge in Arusha. After settling in, you’ll have a brief safari introduction with our representative before enjoying a relaxing evening and dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you’ll visit Arusha town for optional shopping and currency exchange, which may be useful for tipping or other extras during your safari. You will then head through the Masai Steppe and the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Manyara National Park. After a brief game drive, you’ll check into your lodge for lunch and some rest. In the late afternoon, you’ll go on a sunset game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Return to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight at the Farm House Valley Lodge.

Day 3: Olduvai Gorge & Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you’ll set off for Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s oldest and largest park. En route, you’ll stop at the historical Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made significant fossil discoveries. After a picnic lunch, continue into the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate, enjoying game drives as you venture into the plains teeming with wildlife. Arrive at Acacia Serengeti Central Camp for dinner and overnight, where you’ll experience the classic ‘Out of Africa’ ambiance.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

On this day, you can choose between an early morning game drive at sunrise or a more leisurely start with breakfast at camp. You’ll spend the day exploring the Serengeti, famous for its wildlife and, depending on the season, the Great Migration. Opt for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch or return to the lodge for a mid-day break before a sunset game drive. Alternatively, enjoy a walking safari if staying outside the park. Dinner and overnight at Acacia Serengeti Central Camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Today begins with an early breakfast before heading to Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. After registering at the gate, you’ll descend 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a chance to spot the Big Five, along with many other species. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Later in the afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater walls and return to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Arusha to Zanzibar

After a relaxed breakfast and an optional complimentary massage at the lodge, you’ll depart for Arusha to catch your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival on the island, you’ll be transferred to Pongwe Beach Hotel, a stunning resort located on one of Zanzibar’s finest beaches. Dinner and overnight at Pongwe Beach Hotel.

Days 7-11: Zanzibar Beach

Spend the next few days at the beach, indulging in water sports or simply relaxing on the pristine shores of Pongwe Beach. Recognized as one of Zanzibar’s and the world’s best beaches, this is the perfect place to unwind. Dinner and overnight at Pongwe Beach Hotel each night.

Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some free time at the hotel before being transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home.
